Q: What is Remnants of Nix?
A: The new PvP content launching with this update is called “Remnants of Nix.” You can enter through the Lawless Wilds button in the main menu or via rifts located in the Aetherion. Inside, you’ll find items of a significantly higher tier than what’s available in Nix’s regular zones.
But there’s an important catch. Remnants of Nix is a full PvP zone across the entire map, with the exception of the aerial stronghold safe zone. If you’re defeated in combat, you’ll drop certain types of items you’ve collected, and other players can pick them up. You’ll need to stay alert at all times.
One additional note: to allow Adventurers to fully immerse themselves in Remnants of Nix, the existing Nebula Island Lawless Wilds will be retired with this update.
Q: What was the core design goal behind Remnants of Nix?
A: We wanted to deliver the dramatic tension of securing high-value items in a dangerous environment and making it out alive.
To support this, Remnants of Nix is designed so you can enter freely at any time, with no scheduled participation windows or matchmaking queues. Channels adjust dynamically based on player count to maintain the right level of tension throughout.
For Adventurers who might feel a bit intimidated by PvP, we’ve placed a variety of tools throughout the zone that can turn the tide of battle or help you escape dangerous situations quickly. Don’t be afraid of failure. Keep challenging yourself and experimenting with different strategies.
Q: What kind of rewards can Adventurers earn?
A: In Remnants of Nix, you’ll find powerful PvP-specialized gear as well as new farming items that serve as a fresh catalyst for character growth. We designed the rewards to match the stakes, so the growth you walk away with feels proportional to the danger you survived. We encourage everyone to dive in and challenge themselves.
Q: What’s the biggest difference between Remnants of Nix and existing PvP content?
A: The biggest differences are the scale of combat and the purpose behind it. Where existing PvP has been about large groups clashing in guild-versus-guild warfare, Remnants of Nix is centered on small-scale engagements, whether party-based or even solo play, making it much more accessible and immediate.
Because the environment doesn’t allow you to simply rely on sheer numbers, tactical play that minimizes losses during engagements becomes critical. The death penalty here carries real weight. Not only do you drop specific items, but respawning at the aerial stronghold means the long journey back to the battlefield creates a devastating gap in your party’s fighting strength.
That means keeping every party member alive is paramount. Close coordination, mutual backup, and survival strategies matter more than anything else. Unlike traditional PvP where the goal is simply to eliminate opponents and win, Remnants of Nix is all about “choices and priorities.” Do you play it safe, patrolling the outer edges, collecting standard rewards, and extracting cleanly? Or do you push into contested territory, risk confrontation with other parties, and go for the premium loot? Those split-second decisions are what make this content truly exciting.
Q: What kind of playstyles does the team hope to see from Adventurers?
A: We’re hoping to see Adventurers strategically using the field tools placed throughout the battlefield, leveraging their individual creativity, and contesting every fight right up until the moment of extraction and we hope to see dynamic, resourceful gameplay.
To support this, we’ve carefully analyzed player behavior patterns and placed escape routes and surprise events throughout the map. We’re genuinely excited to see how the tactical elements we’ve designed get used in ways we might not have even anticipated. That unpredictability is one of the things we’re most looking forward to.
Q: Any survival tips for Adventurers heading into Remnants of Nix?
A: After entering Remnants of Nix, frequently open your world map and review your escape plan in real time.
Of course, in practice, other players will inevitably disrupt your plans. That’s part of the experience. But if you stay vigilant, keep scanning your surroundings, and make the best possible decision in each moment of crisis, you’ll find your inventory full of high-value rewards when you finally make it out.
