Service Transition: Key Dates and What to Expect

General

10/8/26

In August, we shared that Amazon Game Studios will be transitioning live operations of Throne and Liberty in the West to NC. Since then, our teams have been working closely together to ensure a smooth handover, with your progress and experience as our top priority.

Today, we’re sharing key dates and details so you can plan ahead.

Service Transition Maintenance

The service transition maintenance will begin on November 10, 2026.

During this maintenance window, game services will be temporarily unavailable as we complete the transfer of all player data, characters, progression, and entitlements to NC. We’ll share a detailed maintenance schedule, including expected duration, closer to the date.

Your characters, items, currency, and progression will all transfer intact. Once the maintenance is complete and NC’s service goes live, you’ll be able to log in, accept NC’s Terms and Policies, and continue your adventures in Solisium right where you left off.

WHAT’S HAPPENING BEFORE THE SERVICE TRANSITION MAINTENANCE

To prepare for the service transition maintenance, we’re making the following changes starting October 26, 2026:

Auction House Temporarily Closed

The Auction House will be temporarily closed starting on October 26 until the service transition is complete.

This allows us to reconcile all active listings and pending payments so your items and Lucent transfer cleanly to NC’s systems.

What this means for you:

  • Any items listed on the Auction House at the start of October 26 maintenance will be delivered to the NPC Storage Manager. Items will be delivered even if the limit exceeds your maximum storage capacity.

  • Pending Lucent from completed sales will be credited to your balance.

Cash Shop Products Temporarily Suspended

Celebration Packs, Character Boost, and Lucent packs will be temporarily removed from Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation stores, as well as the in-game Shop, starting on October 26 until the service transition is complete.

Temporarily suspending sales allows us to ensure all purchases are correctly processed and transferred during migration.

What this means for you:

  • You will not be able to purchase Celebration Packs, Character Boost, or Lucent packs.

  • Any Lucent or items you already own are unaffected and will be transferred with your account data.

  • NC will share details about shop availability after the transition is complete.

All your existing progress, characters, items, currency, and account data will be transferred to NC. These temporary closures are preparation steps to ensure everything migrates cleanly and completely.

Throne and Liberty App Name Change for Xbox Players

You may notice the app on Xbox is now named “Throne and Liberty AGS”. It's the same Xbox app but with a name variation to prepare for the service transition. After the service transition is complete, Xbox players will need to install the new “Throne and Liberty” app published by NC and accept NC’s Terms and Policies to continue playing. Your account data will carry over to the NC app. We’ll share step-by-step guidance before the transition.

OPT-OUT REMINDER

If you wish to opt out of the data transfer, you must do so before October 30. Opting out means your account data will not be transferred to NC. Your characters, progression, and inventory will not carry over and you will need to start fresh if you choose to play Throne and Liberty under NC’s operation.

You can submit your opt-out request at: https://help.playthroneandliberty.com/hc/articles/53803647673627

We strongly recommend carefully considering the impact before opting out. Your progress and achievements will not transfer if you choose to opt out.

Thank you for your continued support as we work through this transition. We’re committed to making this as smooth as possible for every player in Solisium.

FAQ

Transition Overview

Q: What's happening with Throne and Liberty?

A: Amazon Game Studios is transitioning publishing responsibilities of Throne and Liberty back to the game's developer, NC (operating through their subsidiary FirstSpark Games). This means NC will directly operate Throne and Liberty in the West going forward. Both Amazon Game Studios and NC understand you've invested significant time and effort into your characters and progression, and we're committed to making this change as seamless as possible.

Q: When is the transition happening?

A: The service transition maintenance begins on November 10, 2026. We’ll share more details, including expected duration, closer to the date.

Q: How long is the downtime for the Service Transition maintenance on November 10?

A: Our goal is to minimize disruption to your gameplay. The maintenance begins on November 10, and we’ll share details on exact start time and estimated duration closer to the date.

Q: What will change for me as a player?

A: No changes will be made to your account, your characters, progression or inventory, your platform (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox), your game data or access to the game itself, unless you opt out. Things that are changing include the game's publisher, customer support provider, support channels and policies, live operations team, and the Terms and Policies (all players will be asked to accept the new Terms and Policies from NC).

Q: Will I still be able to play the game with my existing Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox accounts?

A: Your platform accounts do not change. Even after the service migration, you can continue to access and play the game with the same platform accounts you have always used after accepting the new Terms and Policies from NC.

Q: Will I need to do anything specifically to take my account and player data over to the NC platform?

A: No action is required for your data to be transferred unless you choose to opt out. After the transition, you will need to accept NC’s Terms and Policies and complete any required account activation steps to continue playing.

In addition, Xbox players will need to install the new “Throne and Liberty” app published by NC.

Q: Will the existing Americas / Europe / Japan, Oceania regions remain the same after the transfer?

A: All regions and realms will continue to be available after the service transition. However, NC will rename Japan, Oceania to Asia, Oceania.

Q: Will users on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms still be able to use Cross-Play after the transfer?

A: Yes, the Cross-Play status will remain the same as before.

Q: Will a new platform (launcher) be added to access the game after the transfer?

A: Yes, you will be able to access the game using PURPLE, provided by NC.

Q: Will Cross-Progression be supported between platforms after the transfer?

A: Cross-Progression will be supported between Steam and NC’s PURPLE platform. PlayStation and Xbox will continue to retain their independent progression.

Data & Opt-Out Process

Q: What happens to my personal data during this transition?

A: Your game data (characters, progression, inventory) will be transferred to NC so you can continue playing after the transition. Your Account ID, character data, and platform identifiers will be included to ensure service continuity, unless you opt out.

Q: Can I opt out of the data transfer?

A: Yes. You can opt out until the transition day and choose not to have your data migrate to NC by submitting your opt-out request here.

Q: If I choose to opt out, what is the deadline to submit my opt-out request?

A: The deadline to submit your opt-out request is October 30.

Q: What happens if I opt out?

A: If you opt out, your account data will not be transferred to NC. This means:

  • Your characters, progression, and inventory will not carry over

  • You will need to start fresh if you choose to play Throne and Liberty under NC's operation

  • Your Amazon Game Studios account data will be handled per our standard data retention and deletion policies

We strongly recommend you consider the impact carefully before opting out. Your progress and in-game achievements will not be transferred if you choose to opt out.

Q: What if I do nothing during the opt-out period?

A: If you take no action during the opt-out window, your game data will be transferred to NC as part of the standard migration. After the service transition, you'll go through an account activation process with NC where you accept their Terms and Policies to continue playing.

Q: What happens to a guild that has a character who opted out?

A: Guild members who opted out will be removed from the guild. If the character who opted out is the guild leader, the guild leadership will be transferred according to the automatic succession order. Any guild that loses all its members will be automatically disbanded.

Your Account & Characters

Q: Will my characters, items, and progression transfer?

A: Yes. Your game data — including characters, inventory, progression, and entitlements — will transfer to NC as part of the migration (unless you opt out). After the transition, you'll access your existing account through NC's services.

Q: What about my Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox accounts?

A: Throne and Liberty will continue to be available on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, and your account and play history remain intact.

Xbox players will need to install the new “Throne and Liberty” app published by NC.

Q: Can I still purchase and use in-game currency?

A: The quantity of all in-game currency you currently own including Lucent, Loyalty Points, Sollant, and Ornate Coins can still be used before and after the transition.

On October 26, cash products (Celebration Packs, Character Boost, and Lucent packs) will be suspended until the service transition is complete.

Q: What happens with unclaimed items in my Storage Chest?

A: We recommend claiming the items delivered to your Storage Chest from completed store purchases, Twitch Drop rewards, and Xbox Gamepass and PlayStation Plus perks prior to the service transition maintenance on November 10. Any unclaimed items remaining in the Storage Chest will be automatically claimed for you and delivered via in-game mail.

Q: What happens with items that I've listed on the Auction House and pending Lucent payments?

A: Items listed on the Auction House will continue to be processed as intended. When the Auction House closes on October 26, listed items will be returned to the NPC Storage Manager. Any completed sales with pending Lucent payments will be credited to your account balance.

Q: What happens to unclaimed mail?

A: Unclaimed mail and attached items will be preserved and can be claimed after the service migration.

Q: Will my ban or penalty history transfer?

A: Yes. Account enforcement history (bans, suspensions, penalties) transfers to NC.

Q: How will duplicate character or guild names be handled due to the service integration?

A: If duplicate character or guild names result from the service integration, priority will be determined according to the following rules. Characters whose names are changed will receive one Character Rename Ticket. If a guild's name is changed, the Guild Leader will be given one opportunity to change the guild name.

  • Character Name

    • The character with the highest Combat Power will keep their name.

    • If the characters have the same Combat Power, the character with the longer total playtime will keep their name.

    • The other character will be replaced with a randomly assigned name and receive one Character Rename Ticket.

  • Guild Name

    • The guild with the higher number of Guild Activity Points will keep their name.

    • If the guilds have the same number of Guild Activity Points, the guild with the higher Guild Experience will keep their name.

    • The other guild will be replaced with a randomly assigned name and receive the opportunity to change the guild name.

Q: Will my Friends, Feuds, Interests, and Blocked lists be maintained?

A: Your Friends, Feuds, and Interests lists will remain unchanged, but your Blocked list will be reset. Characters belonging to accounts that opted-out of the data transfer will be removed from the list.

Q: Will the guild progression status and guild members be preserved?

A: All information will be maintained as is, except for characters that have opted out.

Q: Will support tickets previously submitted to the AGS customer center also be transferred to the NC customer center?

A: Support tickets will not be transferred.

Q: Where should I direct customer service inquiries before and after the service migration?

A: Before migration: Please contact Amazon Game Studios Customer Support at https://help.playthroneandliberty.com.

After migration: Please contact NC Customer Service. The exact contact information will be announced once confirmed.

Content and Service

Q: Will there still be content updates?

A: Throne and Liberty will continue to get regular content updates and bug fixes through maintenance as usual. The schedules for some major updates shortly before the transfer may be adjusted to ensure a smooth and stable data transfer.

Q: Will Throne and Liberty continue in other regions?

A: Amazon Game Studios and NC will maintain current regions and realms both from western service and NC’s Korean service.

Q: Can I transfer my account to another region?

A: Yes, you can transfer your account to another region using the existing transfer feature in the game at any time before the transition. Once the transition is complete, NC will share a transfer policy and support plan for regional and realm transfer.

Q: Should I complete my Auction House transactions before October 26?

A: You can complete or cancel any active Auction House listings before October 26, but we will ensure these pending transactions will be processed during the October 26 maintenance.

Q: Will the Auction House reopen after the transition?

A: Yes. Once the service transition is complete and NC’s operation is live, the Auction House will reopen. NC will communicate the exact timing.

Q: When will cash products become available for purchase again?

A: Cash products will become available again after the service transition is complete. NC will announce shop availability once their service is live.

Q: The Throne and Liberty app name changed to "Throne and Liberty AGS" in my Xbox library, is this a new app?

A: It is the same app published by Amazon Game Studios. The name change for Xbox players is preparation for the service transition. After the transition, Xbox players will install the new "Throne and Liberty" app published by NC.

Technical Migration Steps

Q: What do I need to do to prepare?

A: For most players, the transition will be seamless. Here's your checklist:

  • Ensure your Amazon Games ID (AGID) is active - you'll need this if you want to opt out.

  • Link your platform account to your AGID - also required for the opt-out process.

  • Watch for official announcements - we'll communicate key dates and any required actions.

  • After transition:

    • Accept NC's Terms and Policies on first login.

    • Xbox players install NC’s new “Throne and Liberty” app.

Q: Will I need to download or reinstall anything?

A: On all three platforms, there will be a new update to download. For Xbox players, a new “Throne and Liberty” app will need to be installed.

Additional Information

Q: Where can I find the latest updates?

A: Watch for announcements through our official channels on Discord, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Steam, and in-game. All major updates will be communicated in advance of any required player action.
