Resistance Report - October 2026

02/10/2026

Members of the Resistance,

Since the latest update, we have been reading your feedback closely across three areas: gear level progression, combat stats like Hit Chance and Evasion, and the newly introduced Colossus content. Your reports and discussion have given valuable insight on where the experience can be improved, and that feedback has directly shaped the planned changes below.

We want to be upfront about what the team has identified in each of these areas and the direction we are taking.

Gear Level Progression and the Thrill of Farming

The intent behind the recent max gear level expansion was to ease the burden of reaching max level, then allowing your progression to continue naturally as you acquire additional gear.

When the update first launched, an error in how the drop probabilities were applied to each gear level caused max-level gear to drop far more frequently than intended. To support a healthy long-term progression system, we restored the originally planned structure, but that correction sharply reduced the sense of anticipation and the fun of farming.

Although the corrections were made with the intent of long-term progression, the balance changes were moved too far in the other direction, and we understand that may have cost you the momentum you had built.

Under the updated progression system, we'll further increase the drop rate for max-level gear obtained after reaching the maximum gear level. Our goal is to keep early progression approachable while restoring the excitement of farming and the satisfaction of meaningful character growth. We're planning to make these changes in November and will continue monitoring the system and make adjustments as needed.

Rebalancing Hit Chance and Evasion, and Adjusting Weapon Synergy

Currently, the value of combat stats in TL varies too greatly depending on an opponent's build or weapon combination.

Hit Chance primarily serves as a counter to high Evasion, meaning additional investment provides little value against opponents who are not heavily invested in Evasion. By contrast, certain weapon combinations can gain Evasion through skills with relatively little investment, creating a significant imbalance in the stat investment tradeoffs between weapon combinations.

We don't believe this issue can be fully addressed through numerical adjustments alone. To improve the underlying stat system, we're preparing the following changes:

  • Strengthening the value of Hit Chance: Hit Chance should be more than just a way to counter high Evasion. Beginning with key weapon types, investing in Hit Chance will provide additional benefits tied to each weapon's unique characteristics. Our goal is to ensure that investing in Hit Chance delivers clear and meaningful combat value.

  • Adjusting Daggers synergy: Daggers currently tend to maintain high Evasion through certain skills with relatively little investment, even when paired with other weapon types. While we intend to preserve the Evasion-focused identity of Daggers, we'll reduce some of the excessive Evasion synergy that occurs when they are combined with other weapons. At the same time, we'll shift more of that power toward active use of Dagger mobility skills, making the strongest Evasion benefits available to players who actively utilize those abilities.

Our goal is to reduce situations where the value of a stat becomes overly dependent on an opponent's build or a specific weapon combination, while ensuring that investments in stats provide clear and meaningful combat benefits. We're working to bring these improvements to the game in November and will share additional details with the Release Notes.

Colossus Vegamor: Participation and Rewards

We’ve closely reviewed your feedback on the recently introduced Colossus content, including accessibility, rewards, and fatigue associated with Guild Battles. We recognize that some aspects of the content haven’t felt rewarding enough for the time and effort required, and we’re working to address these concerns as quickly as possible.

  • Schedule Improvements To make the content more accessible to players who may not be able to log in during certain hours, Peace and Guild events will begin alternating between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM Local Server Time every other week. We’re also preparing additional schedule changes that will move some events to the weekend, reducing weekday commitments and providing more opportunities to participate. The schedule changes will be released this month.

  • Guild Battle Difficulty We recognize that the early and middle stages of Guild Battles are taking longer than expected, making it difficult for players to focus on challenging the final boss. Later this month, we’ll reduce the difficulty and completion requirements for Stages 1~3, allowing guilds to focus more on strategic battles against one another and the competition for the final boss.

Skill Core Acquisition and New Skill Cores

Skill Cores were introduced to change how existing skills function and give players more freedom to create their own builds. However, there currently aren’t enough reliable ways to obtain specific Skill Cores. As a result, players often have to build around the Skill Cores they already own rather than experiment with the combinations they want.

To reduce the burden of acquiring Skill Cores and let players fully explore the build variety the system was designed to provide, we’re preparing the following improvements for a November release:

  • Increased Drop Rates and Guaranteed Crafting We’ll increase Skill Core drop rates in Tumgir Hollow and Co-op Dungeons. We’ll also introduce a guaranteed crafting system that allows players to craft the specific Skill Core they want using materials earned through regular play, providing a reliable path toward obtaining specific Skill Cores.

  • Additional Skill Cores To expand build variety, we’ll add three new Skill Cores for each weapon. These additions will offer new ways to use existing skills and give players more combinations to experiment with.

Looking Ahead

We will share the detailed update schedule and the specifics of each change through the upcoming Release Notes as they become available.

Throughout these changes, your feedback has sharpened how we weigh the impact of adjustments like these against your actual gameplay. That is a commitment we are carrying into every update moving forward. Please continue to provide your feedback as it informs our improvements.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
